12-lead Resting ECG for General Practitioners case driven.
Accredited for family physicians, but anyone with an interest or affinity for assessing 12-channel Rest ECGs is welcome to participate in the training.
Description of training
The electrocardiogram (ECG) has long been the cornerstone of cardiac diagnostics. Since Willem Einthoven was awarded the Nobel Prize for it in 1924, it has become a fixture within cardiac diagnostics and is a robust and safe examination in which an enormous amount of information is obtained about the function and dysfunction of cardiac conduction and the presence of arrhythmias.
The Hartis Academy offers interactive training that focuses on practical and applicable insights into ECG interpretation within general practice. The emphasis is on systematic review, clinical context and case histories. Participants learn the diagnostic value and limitations of the ECG and are trained to recognize rhythm and conduction disorders, ischemia patterns and other relevant abnormalities.
